Robbie Coltrane is seen throughout the film as Thomas, George’s old friend who runs a modest garage instead of working in the London criminal underworld. Although not the main character and not really related to the main struggle, Coltrane’s character “Everyman” is fun and improved thanks to the late actor’s innate liking.

Let Him Ride (1989)
One of the best Richard Dreyfus comedy films of 1989, Let it ride, Jay Trotter (Dreyfuss) follows an unfortunate man as he attempts to change his fortune after obtaining classified information about a racehorse he can’t afford to lose.
Although he appears in no small part as a ticket salesman distributing Trotter’s profits, Robbie Coltrane’s brief appearance was full of humor, warmth, and joy, just as if he was pulling in Harry Potter movies a little over a decade later. The way he calculates the colossal cash pile of the troubled bettor is just a lot of fun to follow over and over again.
